When parts of London’s Television Centre became luxury accommodation, Couture Digital was appointed as technology partner, implementing state-of-the-art intelligent lighting, home automation, audio visual systems and other smart home technologies.
An iconic, Grade II listed building complex in White City, Television Centre was the headquarters of BBC Television for more than 50 years. In 2012, the building complex was acquired by property developer Stanhope plc. It has since been restored to provide a stunning array of new homes as well as entertainment venues, al fresco dining and outdoor spaces that are open to the public.

Initially, rooms are programmed with generic lighting scenes, ready for new owners to move in. Once the owners have lived in their new homes and have a better idea of how they like to enjoy the space, we offer a complimentary service where we reprogram the lighting system to suit their individual requirements.
Couture Digital continues to help new owners make the most of their homes at Television Centre. As well as customising a property’s existing system, we can expand on it to provide further benefits. Possible additions include multi-room audio visual systems, high-performance wireless systems, home cinemas and smart home control.
Couture Digital had successfully collaborated with the developer in the past. For this project, we were approached to commission the development’s Lutron and Crestron systems before handover to new homeowners.
We designed and programmed a custom graphical user interface especially for Television Centre. Provision of this purpose-built user interface underlines the high standards maintained throughout the development; it also enhances user experience by making it easy to control the home automation features.
